Program Boards
The Association has an unique structure – separate programs that operate very independently. Within family services, this approach is enhanced with Program groups and Boards comprised of families.
Program Boards function like the agency’s Board. They share a common mission - providing services that promote dignified community living. They operate independently, do strategic planning, establish direction, advocate independently, and control their program’s budget and expenses. The Association’s Board approves the Program Board’s budget recommendations.
The Association also develops supportive relationship with family groups and their Boards. It provides a variety of administrative support including financial services, investment, human resources, information technology, development and external communications.
