Corporators of The Association For Community Living

Corporators is a membership category of The Association comprised of community and business leaders. Corporators are people who care about The Association, value what our programs do and want to help support our mission of promoting dignified community living for children and adults with developmental disabilities, such as mental retardation, Down syndrome, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Corporators want to promote and support our mission by:

  • serving on Board committees and special projects to provide outside help and expertise;
  • staying connected and in touch with Association's goals and direction;
  • attending at least one Corporator meeting per year, plus attending the annual meeting, holiday party or other functions to provide support;
  • providing a resource to reach out to their communities to communicate our message, and to help expand community knowledge and support of The Association for Community Living;
  • Making an annual financial contribution to The Association for Community Living.

The term is three years, with no limit to the number of terms, and the time commitment is at the Corporator’s discretion.

Individuals who became Corporators during the program's inaugural year were awarded the title “Founding Corporator”.
